The Dutch market,
a major B2B opportunity.

The Netherlands is one of Europe's most attractive markets for a B2B company. With a GDP of around USD 1,270 billion in 2024, it is the 5th largest economy in the Eurozone and the 18th worldwide, powered by innovation (8th in the 2024 Global Innovation Index) and an exceptional trade openness: the country is the 3rd largest exporter of goods and services in the world. A natural fit for software vendors, IT services firms, consultancies and service companies that want to generate qualified leads internationally.

Above all, the Netherlands is a European gateway. More than 170 million consumers live within a 300-mile radius; Rotterdam is the largest port in Europe and Amsterdam Schiphol the 4th largest airport on the continent. The country hosts the European headquarters of global players (Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Cisco, Nike EMEA) and ranks among the top destinations for foreign direct investment — a mature, connected, business-friendly market.

Amsterdam concentrates a decisive share of demand. The capital is one of Europe's leading hubs for fintech, e-commerce and tech (Adyen and Booking.com were born there), alongside Eindhoven — the semiconductor Brainport — Rotterdam, Utrecht and The Hague, together forming the Randstad, the country's economic megalopolis. One unique advantage for expansion: the Netherlands ranks #1 in the world for English proficiency (EF English Proficiency Index), making it one of the most accessible markets on the continent.

Prospecting this market does require knowing its rules. Since 1 July 2021, the Netherlands has tightened telemarketing regulation: this is precisely where an agency that masters both B2B lead generation and Dutch specifics makes the difference between a merely translated campaign and a genuine, compliant go-to-market motion.

Where your Dutch
prospects are concentrated.

The Dutch economy revolves around a few major hubs, most of them within the Randstad. Knowing these hubs means targeting the right decision-makers in the right place — the starting point of every campaign we run.

Finance & fintech

Amsterdam

The country's financial and corporate heart (the Zuidas district): major banks (ING, ABN AMRO, Rabobank), fintech (Adyen), e-commerce (Booking.com) and one of the largest data hubs in the world, the AMS-IX.

Logistics & port

Rotterdam

The largest port in Europe: international trade, maritime, energy, agrifood and the entire logistics chain that supplies the continent.

High-tech & semiconductors

Brainport Eindhoven

The European core of semiconductors and deep tech: ASML, NXP, the Philips legacy and the High Tech Campus — the region produces a large share of the country's high-tech exports.

ICT & life sciences

Utrecht

At the centre of the country: IT services (Capgemini, Oracle), gaming (Benelux HQs of Nintendo and Ubisoft) and life sciences around the Utrecht Science Park.

Institutions & security

The Hague

Seat of government and of many international institutions: law, energy and cybersecurity (The Hague Security Delta, Europol).

The whole Randstad

& beyond

Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague and Utrecht form the Randstad, the megalopolis that concentrates most B2B decision-makers — a dense territory, ideal for a focused campaign.

Prospecting the Netherlands
with native Dutch-speaking SDRs.

The Netherlands is the country where English is spoken best in the world: you might think an English-only campaign is enough. That is a common mistake. Reaching out to a Dutch decision-maker in their own language builds a level of trust and rapport that English does not — especially on the first contact, where credibility is won or lost.

That is why our Dutch campaigns are run by native Dutch-speaking SDRs, recruited and trained in-house — no outsourcing, no machine translation. Each rep knows the outreach conventions, the Dutch business culture — direct, pragmatic, results-oriented — and the typical objections. It changes everything in the quality of international prospecting: you move from a message that "sounds foreign" to a real peer-to-peer conversation.

On top of language mastery comes market knowledge: high-growth sectors (tech, fintech, logistics, agrifood, industry, consulting), the decision-maker landscape, and an understanding of local telemarketing rules. For a lead generation agency, it is this combination — qualified Dutch data, native SDRs and a proven method — that turns an expansion ambition into a concrete sales pipeline.

Our lead generation
methodology.

The same rigour as on any home market, adapted to Dutch specifics. Here is how we structure a campaign to generate qualified leads in the Netherlands.

01

Dutch ICP scoping

Precise definition of your Dutch target: sector, size, decision-making roles, areas (Randstad, Amsterdam, Eindhoven, Rotterdam…), buying signals.

02

Data & AI scoring

Selection and enrichment of Dutch contacts in our proprietary database, prioritised by scoring to focus effort on high-potential accounts.

03

Native Dutch activation

Multichannel prospecting (phone, email, LinkedIn) run by native SDRs, in the language and codes of the market — and compliant with local telemarketing rules.

04

Meetings & reporting

Qualified meetings handed over with full context, and consolidated reporting to steer your Dutch expansion.

A concrete example. For a SaaS vendor targeting the IT departments of Dutch mid-market companies, we build a list of focused accounts around Amsterdam and the Randstad, then our Dutch-speaking SDRs open the conversation by phone and LinkedIn with a pitch calibrated to local priorities. The meetings obtained are booked directly in the sales team's calendar, with a briefing that lets the closer arrive prepared — including on the legal framework for telemarketing in the Netherlands.

Beyond the Netherlands,
present across Europe.

The Netherlands is one of the European markets Seventic covers with native-speaking SDRs. One agency, a single point of contact, and coverage that gradually extends to new countries.

Lead generation in the Netherlands:
your questions.

How do you generate B2B leads in the Netherlands?

B2B lead generation in the Netherlands rests on three pillars: a qualified, up-to-date database of Dutch contacts, native Dutch-speaking SDRs who prospect in local codes, and a multichannel approach (phone, email, LinkedIn). At Seventic, we scope your target (ICP), prioritise accounts by scoring, then run native campaigns to book qualified meetings. The goal is not raw contact volume, but a steady flow of leads your sales team can actually work.

Should you prospect in Dutch, or is English enough?

The Netherlands ranks first in the world for English proficiency, so you can converse in English. But prospecting in the decision-maker's own language builds a very different level of trust, especially on the first contact. Our Dutch campaigns are run by native Dutch speakers who can approach prospects in Dutch or English depending on the person and the sector. That is what separates a genuine local motion from a merely translated campaign.

Is B2B cold calling allowed in the Netherlands?

Yes, for companies. Since 1 July 2021, the Netherlands applies an opt-in regime for prospecting consumers and natural-person businesses (sole proprietorships, partnerships), and the "Bel-me-niet" register was discontinued. However, legal entities (BV, NV, associations, cooperatives, foundations) are not protected: B2B cold calling to companies remains allowed. A few rules apply — a visible caller ID, identification at the start of the call, respect for the right to object, and GDPR-compliant data. The tightening planned for 1 July 2026 concerns consumers, not company-to-company B2B. (Sources: Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens; Business.gov.nl.)

Why outsource your sales prospecting in the Netherlands?

Recruiting, training and managing a Dutch-speaking sales team in-house is long and costly, especially to test a market. Outsourcing to a lead generation agency lets you start fast, with native SDRs already operational, a Dutch database and a proven method. You turn a fixed cost into a managed investment, measured by qualified meeting, without tying up your teams on the most time-consuming stage of the sales cycle.

How long does it take to launch a campaign in the Netherlands?

A Dutch campaign typically launches in two to three weeks: ICP scoping, building the target account list, preparing the Dutch sequences and briefing the SDRs. The first meetings then come over the following weeks, with the pace stabilising as messaging and targeting are refined from field feedback.

Which sectors do you work with in the Netherlands?

We work mainly in Tech & SaaS, consulting & services, marketing & communication, industry and finance — the most dynamic sectors of the Dutch market, from fintech to logistics and high-tech industry. Our SDRs are selected for their sector experience, so they can hold a relevant conversation with demanding Dutch decision-makers.

Do you prospect the Netherlands remotely or on site?

Our Dutch-speaking SDR teams are based at our Paris headquarters. Modern B2B prospecting — phone, email, LinkedIn — does not require a physical presence in the Netherlands: what matters is language, local codes and data quality. You get a single point of contact, consolidated reporting, and the same closeness of management as for a domestic campaign.

Are the Netherlands a good test market for expansion?

Yes — it is often an excellent first European market: an open, prosperous economy, accessible decision-makers, the highest English proficiency in the world, and the dense Randstad, which lets you address a strong concentration of decision-makers on a compact territory. It is ideal for validating an offer before extending it to the rest of Europe.

How to choose your lead
generation agency in the Netherlands?

What is a lead generation agency for the Dutch market?

It is an agency that helps companies identify and engage B2B prospects in the Netherlands, adapting to the specifics of the local market. It designs bespoke campaigns to capture qualified leads, book meetings and accelerate expansion — drawing on a database of Dutch contacts, native Dutch-speaking SDRs and a multichannel method. You focus on closing; the agency fuels your pipeline.

Native SDRs or plain translation: why does it matter?

It is the number-one criterion. Even though the Dutch speak excellent English, an approach run by native Dutch speakers builds immediate trust and uses the right register. Always check who actually prospects: native Dutch-speaking reps, or a foreign-language team translating its scripts.

Does the agency know the Dutch telemarketing rules?

This is not to be overlooked. Since 2021, the Netherlands regulates telemarketing: prospecting companies (legal entities) remains allowed, but with precise rules (visible caller ID, identification, right to object, GDPR). A good agency builds this framework into its processes rather than duplicating a domestic campaign without adaptation.

Is the Dutch database proprietary and qualified?

Campaign performance depends directly on data quality. Favour an agency with a proprietary database — never resold, enriched and scored — over a generic purchased file. At Seventic, Dutch data is selected and qualified upstream of every campaign.

Is the approach multichannel?

In the Dutch market, combining phone, email and LinkedIn markedly increases the chances of reaching a decision-maker. A single-channel agency limits your reach. Make sure the channels are orchestrated coherently, with a cadence and messages adapted to the local rhythm.

How are results measured?

Demand clear indicators: number of qualified meetings, conversion rate, quality of the accounts reached. The right benchmark is not contact volume, but the pipeline actually generated. Regular, readable reporting is essential to steer your expansion investment.

Do you need an agency based in the Netherlands?

Not necessarily. Modern B2B prospecting is run remotely; what matters is language, codes and data, not an address in Amsterdam. An agency run from Paris, with native Dutch-speaking SDRs and a single point of contact, offers the same effectiveness while simplifying coordination.

Which sectors does an agency like Seventic work with?
